What Are Some Historical Events That Didn’t Occur Like It’s Been Told?

Well, if a historical event didn’t occur like it’s been told, I doubt anybody would know about it.
However, the discovery of America by Christopher Columbus, as taught to children in school, does not include many details of how much of a supreme ****** Christopher Columbus was. Not only had America been discovered prior to his expedition, but a lot of history books ignore his torture and cruelty to natives.

George Washington never chopped down a cherry tree. The First Crusade wasn’t begun as an attack against anyone. Abraham Lincoln was a corporate lawyer. There is more evidence in favor of John Kennedy (or others acting on his behalf) having rigged the 1960 presidential election than there is opposed to it.

we will never know unless we get a time machine. what people say is all that people have, and then theres books, which still come down to what people say and how its described in there own persoanl beliefs. just look at the bible. how many wars have happened and how many people have died just because one guy says something and the other says another….

Every time the Ancient Egyptians lost a battle they would lie to make themselves looked good. During the French Revolution there was a famous quote by Queen Marie Antoinette where she says “Let them have cake” when peasants storm the palace looking for food it is one of the best known quotes of the revolution and the funniest part is she never said it. There are plenty of others but those are the two I know of the top of my head.

Well, all of them, to an extent.
History is muddled by perception, bias, gaps, assumptions, and in some cases even a bit of conspiracy. Even current events share the same weaknesses.
So to answer your question, who’s doing the telling?
Is it a priest citing Adam and Eve, or a scientist investigating evolution? Did the Russian Federation tell you, or did you hear it from the CIA? Was George Washington really an infallible and stolid leader, or were his insecurities in fact aggravated by his duties? How many licks dis it reeaaally take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop??
